Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups boiling water

Directions

  1. Beat the sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla for 4 minutes.
  2. Alternate the dry ingredients with the boiling water.
  3. Turn into a greased 8-by-12-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes.
