Cornflake Cake

  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 6 cups corn flakes, not crushed
  • 1 tablespoon coffee
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • cocoa; quantity not stated

Directions

  1. Melt the corn syrup and add the sugar in a double boiler.
  2. Add the peanut butter, butter, salt, and vinegar.
  3. Stir in the corn flakes without crushing them.
  4. Combine the coffee, icing sugar, butter, and cocoa for the icing.
