Peanut Brittle

Ingredients

  • brown sugar, quantity/unit unclear
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • nuts, amount not specified

Directions

  1. Boil to the crack stage.
  2. Test by dropping into cold water.
  3. Remove from the stove, add the baking soda and vanilla, and mix.
  4. Pour into a prepared pan with nuts; cut before completely cooled.

1/4 cup Vinegar
1/2 teas soda
1 teas Vanilla

drop in cold water.
remove from stove add soda 1 teas Vanilla; mix
pan line with buttered ... spread ... nuts. pour syrup into. Cut in before complete. Cooled.
