Whitefruit Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Whites of 2 eggs, beaten stiff
- 1 pound sultana raisins
- 1/2 pound coconut
- 1/2 pound cherries
- 1 3/4 cups white sugar
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 pound almonds
- 1/2 pound peel
- Juice and rind of 1 lemon or orange
Directions
- Beat the egg whites until stiff.
- Bake for 2 hours.
